Cities like skin
Cities are shaped by the people who move through them. Streets, sidewalks, and facades carry the imprint of daily life — footsteps, gestures, pauses, and routines. Cities Like Skin is a photographic series that observes urban environments through the presence of people within them.
Across different cities, individuals pass, gather, wait, and interact. Some are aware of the camera, others remain absorbed in their own movement. Their presence gives meaning to the surfaces around them, turning walls, streets, and light into a stage for everyday human activity.
Rather than focusing on landmarks or spectacle, this series looks at ordinary moments in public space. It explores how cities respond to human presence, recording contact and repetition much like skin records touch and time.
Cities Like Skin presents the city as a living environment — shaped not only by architecture, but by the continuous flow of people who inhabit its streets.
