Hello there!
About me
Born in 1984 and raised in Halle - mostly known for it’s famous bluebells which grow in the Hallerbos to announce the spring - I grew up close to both nature and a more urban environment which is the perfect mix of both worlds for me. Whenever I’m traveling, I still tend to look for the balance between the hustle and bustle of crowded cities and the quiet of the natural world.
Photography came into my life when I bought a simple point and shoot camera in my late teens, but became hooked a few years later when I made the switch to my very first DSLR camera and with my trusted Nikon, started to discover the world, cultures and environments outside my own.
It became an ongoing urge to capture the world as I see it.
About my photographic journey
Photography is the reason I go out to explore world. Both close to home as well as faraway places, with open eyes and heart, and embrace moments that otherwise may have gone unnoticed.
I fell in love with photography because it’s a never-ending journey of (self)discovery and learning.
It offers stories.
Took me on numerous adventures.
It made me look for small and big things. See the light.
It taught me to take in a moment fully, and always look forward towards the next big (or small) adventure.
My work focuses on quiet moments, human interaction, and the tension between presence and place — often shaped by light, timing, and coincidence.
Available for collaborations and assignments.
“It’s more important for a photographer to have very good shoes, than to have a very good camera”
Sebastiao Salgado
